This 4-DVD series, Tractors at Work, features Ford and Fordson, David Brown, Massey Ferguson, Leyland, Nuffield and Marshall tractors, nearly 5 hours of tractor action, all filmed at work in Cornwall.
Ford & Fordson: A fine collection of classic and vintage Ford and Fordson tractors converge on Trewen Farm in Cornwall for a unique working day. Tractors on display range from a selection of 1930s Standard Fordsons right through the decades to the mighty Ford 7810 of 1990. Each tractor is expertly described by Bob Ball. During the programme many of the owners are interviewed to get a personal perspective on ownership and the use of these tractors today. This programme provides an invaluable record of a working day in which so many models from a single famous marque joined together to prepare the fields of Trewen for seeding in truly nostalgic fashion.
Massey & Ferguson: Filmed in 2012, the third annual working day at Trewen Farm in Cornwall brought together famous models from the Ferguson, Massey Harris and Massey Ferguson marques. Amidst the spectacular Cornish scenery these tractors prepared the land at Trewen. Bob Ball is on hand to give his insights into each model on display and to interview the owners. With film of the little grey Fergies of the 1930s to the 1950s and some obscure 1930s Massey Harris models up to the massive Massey Ferguson 1505 of 1989, this a DVD you will want to watch again and again.
David Brown: The sights and sounds of these great British tractors as a collection of 32 David Browns dating from a 1940s Cropmaster to a last of the line Case International 1594 came together at Trewen Farm for a working day on 9th April 2011 that is long to be remembered. The programme takes a look at each tractor on display with a thoroughly entertaining and informative commentary provided by renowned David Brown enthusiast Bob Ball. The owners of these marvellous machines also tell the history of their own tractors and why they own them today.
Leyland, Nuffield & Marshall: Filmed in 2014, Bob Ball presents another classic tractor extravaganza. From Leyland we have the diminutive 154, the 245, 270, 344 and the 462 Synchro. From Nuffield the Universal 4, the 3/45, the 4/65 and a tiny BMC Mini from 1967. Finally, from Marshall we have a 302, an 802 and a pair of Field Marshalls - a series 2 and a 3A. One particular highlight for many will be the sight of a Nuffield Universal 4 demonstrating a land drive spreader which was used prior to the land being ploughed by the army of classic and vintage machinery in attendance.
