In this Massey Ferguson Archive Special Edition we look back at the Ferguson TE20 universally known as the 'Little Grey Fergie'. These films, previously unseen on dvd are highly prized on account of being filmed in fabulous colour, a rarity in the early 1950s.
The first film 'Of Soil and Life' investigates the growing influence of the TE20 around the world. Two films demonstrate the use of the TE20 in Australia, which provide a unique insight into farming practices down under in the 1940s and 50s. Finally, the superb 'Heart of the Enterprise' is filmed at Stoneleigh Abbey in Warwickshire, during a time when Massey Harris and Ferguson products were only just coming together.
Over half a century might divide the TE20 from modern tractors of today, but the legacy of Harry Ferguson's ground breaking three-point linkage and draft control has stood the test of time as today's big red machines continue to pay tribute to his inventive genius with the name 'Ferguson' gracing each and every bonnett.
Narrated by John Stovell.
