In 1996 journalist Dylan Winter followed the North American harvest in the acclaimed programme The Two Thousand Mile Harvest. As a follow-up ten years later he returned to America for the film Custom Cutters. Both programmes can be purchased in this special offer set.
The Two Thousand Mile Harvest: Every year ten of the world's largest combines follow the cereal harvest across North America. Dylan Winter joins the team for the five-month journey from Texas to Alberta in Canada. The Payne family and their crew of 18 show what life on the road is like through their working days, co-ordinating moves from site to site and coping with machinery whilst progressing with humour and ingenuity through the American landscape.
Custom Cutters: Following on from the successful 'Two Thousand Mile Harvest', Dylan Winter returns to America to follow two more harvesting crews as they work and travel across the States. The Fredericks use John Deere 9660STS combines whereas the Farris brothers operate Case IH 2388 combines. This programme features the crews and machines in action as well as interviews.
Both these programmes can be purchased separately within the website.
