The author, Rob Steele, spent his first six years on a Wasdale fell farm before tragically his father was killed on a tractor. This book tells of the life then and what followed and is illustrated with many evocative black & white photographs taken at the time. It is full of humorous tales and anecdotes that should both amuse as well as inform the reader. Recommended.
